Zoe-perry
Perry was born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of the two shows she starred in on Roseanne. However, her parents did not want her to perform until she turned older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry was a shy teenager and didn't act. She began acting at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry had the opportunity to secure small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. Homesickness, however, led her back to California and she returned to work on stage. Perry was a part of Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Kevin McKidd, her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize-winning film Anna Christie alongside her in 2015. Perry played nine roles in The Family, an ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. In 2017, she starred in her own recurring part on The ABC drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. That same year she appeared as a younger version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother in a youthful version. The role was given an audition to the actress, regardless of the fact that she has a family tie with the character.
