Zoe-perry
Perry is Perry is a Chicago native born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles were two appearances as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mom. In fear of stress, her parents did not want to see the actress pursue acting until turning age 18. Perry was a shy teenager and didn't act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred from Boston University. Perry was able to land small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. The feeling of homelessness, however, led her back to California and she returned performing on stage. She and her mother starred on Broadway as a couple as part of The Other Place, in 2013. Kevin McKidd, her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie alongside her in 2015. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. Perry played a prominent role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal, starring her dad. In the same year, she appeared as a younger version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a youthful version. The role was offered to her by auditioning for an open role despite being a fan of this role.
