born on 18 October 1984. American alpine skier Lindsey Vonn who is now retired, won the title of four World Cup competitions and the downhill gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Vonn has the second-highest overall score of all skiers both female and male. She is the best skier in history and the most popular throughout her home country of the United States. She has won four times awarded the title of winner in the World Cup overall competition. She has an extensive and prestigious tradition of success in American sports. She is the only six women to win in every one of the alpine skiing World Cup events. She has achieved 82 World Cup victories in total. She is among the top skiers in the world and the most successful American ski racers have decided to end her career following the World Championship which will take place in Sweden. After battling a number of illnesses and injuries, the multiple World Cup champion has decided to end her career. Her social media accounts allowed her to declare her retirement. The final race I will run in my career will be held on the island of Re Sweden next week, during the Downhill World Championships as well as the SG World Championships.
